Menjadi syarat wajib menuju sarjana Kuliah Kerja Nyata Entrpreneur (KKN-E) Angkatan ke XIV di Universitas Fajar (Unifa) Makassar, salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta (PTS) yang tetap melepas mahasiswa KKN ditengah Pandemi Covid-19, dengan konsep KKN Pulang Kampung.
Menariknya Unifa punya kelas jarak jauh (nonregular) akrab disebut kelas kerja untuk Program Studi (Prodi) Teknik Kimia. Mahasiswa kelas kerja Unifa yang tersebar di beberapa perusahaan industry ternama, menjalani KKN di perusahaan tempat kerjanya, diketahui sejak pelepasan secara virtual tanggal 27 Juli dan resmi ditarik Kembali 31 Agustus oleh pihak universitas. Masing-masing memiliki cerita menarik yang berbeda dan tentunya mengedukasi. Yuk baca hingga akhir! Karyawan PT. Bureau Veritas Cabang Paiton, Ambo yang mesti menjalankan tugas kantor dan melaksanakan Program Kerja (Proker) KKN, untuk memenuhi tuntutan terhadap dirinya, mahasiswa yang juga alumnus Sekolah Menengah Analisis Kimia (SMAK) Makassar melakukan analisis kebutuhan karyawan di kantornya.
Hasil analisis saya menyimpulkan bahwa karyawan butuh antiseptic untuk digunakan sebagai langkah pencegahan, dan tetap menjamin ketersediaannya, maka saya produksi Hand Sanitizer sesuai dengan prosedur Worl Health Organization (WHO) yang juga merujuk ke edaran Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) tutur Ambo, Selasa, 1 Agustus 2020.
Untuk membuat produk tersebut dibutuhkan C2H5OH, H2O2, C3H8O3 dan H2O, berikut cara pembuatan yang diuraikan Ambo. Ukur formulasi sesuai takaran yang dibutuhkan dengan gelas ukur. Pilih salah satu formula antara hand sanitizer yang menggunakan isopropil alkohol atau ethanol. Masukkan ethanol atau isopropil pada botol atau gelas labu. Masukkan hidrogen peroksida ke dalam botol atau gelas labu. Lalu masukkan gliserin.
Gliserin memiliki konsistensi sangat lengket dan kental, jadi pastikan gliserin tidak ada yang tertinggal di dalam gelas ukur. Anda bisa menggunakan sedikit air distilasi untuk membilas gliserin dalam gelas ukur. Setelah bahan jadi satu dalam botol, masukkan 1 liter air distilasi. Tutup botol agar alkohol tidak menguap. Campurkan semua bahan dengan cara mengocok botol atau gelas labu dengan perlahan hingga ketiga bahan tercampur dengan rata. Setelah hand sanitizer tercampur rata, masukkan cairan ini ke botol-botol yang lebih kecil untuk mempermudah penyimpanan. Simpan botol-botol ini selama kurang lebih 72 jam untuk menghindari kontaminasi dari botol.
Hand sanitizer sudah siap digunakan. Untuk membuat 1 liter hand sanitizer dibutuhkan volume: C2H5OH = 833 ml (96%) H2O2 = 41,7 ml 3%) C3H8O3 = 14,5 ml (98%) Tidak hanya Ambo, di PT.
